Bone Marrow Drive at RLMS, This Saturday April 6th

The RLMS PTSA is sponsoring a “Be The Match” Bone Marrow Drive this Saturday, April 6th. The drive will be held in the Team Room of RLMS from 8:30 am-5:00pm.

The inspiration for the drive is our 7th grade classmate, Lara Berkmen, who is currently battling Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) and in great need of a bone marrow transplant herself. Flyer is attached. Double click it to open. Use it to get the word out! Print out your own hard copies or use it in your Facebook and Twitter.

RLMS parent volunteer, Ima Donnelly, has taken the initiative to help the PTSA make the arrangements for the drive, but more help is needed.

Here’s how you can help:

Volunteers are needed to help with registration for the following 3-hour shifts:
** 8:30-11:00
** 11:00-2:00
** 2:00 -5:00

** Donations of Coffee (i.e. Box of Joe) and Donuts (munchkins) to be replenished throughout the day, to give to the donors.

** Help with Public Relations: posting flyers around town, contacting newspapers, radio stations, facebook, etc.

There will also be a job fair held at the same time, which we are hoping will increase traffic for the drive. Help to spread the word by telling your friends, neighbors, colleges, churches, temples, etc. Please see the attached flyer.

Please email Milissa Schramm ASAP at if you think you can help. All family members, students, and friends are welcome to volunteer. You can also email Laura Bernaschina with any questions
