Since 1976, February has been recognized as a month to celebrate the achievements of African Americans and their role in U.S. history.
Among the local celebrations are the following:
February 10-14 is Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Week: “Beloved Community: Forging Justice, Peace, and Freedom”
